What if Hank absolutely loathed puns but the guys at the precinct loved to make Hank groan and threaten to make them his next case.
When Connor starts working with Hank he’s baffled by seemingly innocent conversations that seem to drive Hank crazy for no reason he can find, and no one is willing to explain to someone.
Then one day, as they are discussing their next case Connor manages to work in an intentional pun into their conversation and the whole room just freezes as Connor smiles softly down at his pad.
The station looses it, most laughing so hard they can hardly breath, Hank screaming about how they “corrupted the fucking android!” Which only makes them laugh harder and Reed trying very hard not to laugh because he hates Connor and isn’t allowed to smile at something that hunk of plastic did, even if Anderson looked like he was going to have a stroke.
